The universe is broken!
I'm off work today on the grounds that I can barely talk, and when I do it hurts like a bastard after about 2 words. I decided to try and make an appointment to see the doctor, expecting it to be sometime next week at the earliest, because that's how it usually works.
In this instance, however, they gave me an appointment that was not only this week, but today. What's more, I've just got back from it. I had an appointment that was exactly half an hour from when I phoned them. That never happens! Obviosuly the fact that I had to wheeze everything at them several times over before they could understand me counted in my favour.
Unsurprisingly, he prescribed me a course amoxycillin and told me to come back in a week if it hadn't cleared up. It's a bit different to usual, though, as they usually tell me to come back in a month.
