Bloody Vikings and Flesh Eating Beetles
Well, I was almost hideously late into work today thanks to the bloody vikings...
My normal train was cancelled. This is, in itself not too bad, as I can get the next one and get in 15 minutes late. However, having cancelled the first train, they decided to make the next one into a semi-slow train instead of a fast one. This would have been good, except it still didn't stop at my stop. So instead I needed to change at the following stop and get a train coming back the other way. Which is normally easy, as the later train gets in just before a train coming the other way.
Unless they've turned it into a semi-slow train, in which case it gets in just after a train coming the other way. Thankfully, said other train was late today, so I managed to get in only 20-25 minutes late rather than the 40-45 I would have been had I not made the connection.
