Office move update...
I've just realised that I forgot to add an update to my office move horror stories...
In the time up to and including my fourth day in the new office, the following have occurred:
We transitioned from web fridge to web oven. The old office was a bit binary as well, but at least it'd change around a bit from time to time. This one seems to now only have a "far too hot" mode. Since the heating was turned on on Monday, it has not been turned off. Even at night, when the place is empty. We have no control over it, so since that time the office has been steadily getting warmer and warmer. We can open windows (and unlike the old office, the contents of the office do not immediately flee for the nearest window), but it's still somewhat hideous for the first couple of hours of the day.
The echo has continued to be a problem, and various people have continously failed to turn up to talk about furniture or shelves / noticeboards that might help dampen the sound.
The nearby kitchen and loos are a big plus, though. As is the fact that we're away from students.
Oddly, one of the people we share the kitchen with looks disturbingly like
