Stuff & Gubbins
16 June 2004 22:01Well, what with everything else that's being going on lately I've been a bit crap about updating or doing things I should be doing. Having said that, I plan to be productive from here on in...
So, what have I been doing?
Firstly, I have been learning to play Guitar, for which I must profusely thank![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
izzy_stradlin, who as well as teaching me more about guitars than I ever knew in my life beforehand has left her Electric Guitar and Mini-Amp here for me to practice with. So far I'm not about to say that I'm any good, as all I can do is play three chords fairly reliably, so long as I don't try to move from one to another too quickly. I have the problem of having stubby fingers which are quite wide at the tips, which means that holding down only one string on the first fret is... challenging.
Secondly, I've been working towards switching PCs... I've had a P2-350 and an AMD K62-500 for ages, and have been using the P2 because it had better peripherals, and for assorted reasons I couldn't swap many over. I've now done a whole bunch of component juggling, and am in the midst of switching to using the AMD as my primary machine.
I have also been thrashing out all kinds of RPG ideas, not least of which was a one-off (which rapidly overran and became a two-off) session of Adventure!. I've been thinking about live games, tabletop games and even a one-on-one play by 'net game which I'm running forizzy_stradlin, which I've just started, and the first player action was made earlier tonight.
Tomorrow, I go to the pub for a bit, but I also do some long overdue web & graphic design work. I did have other possible plans for the weekend, but I think I should probably work on that then as well, so I may have to call off other engagements... Shame, but the work needs doing.
