Stuck working on a laptop...

So, here I am at work... where my PC isn't. I'm getting it rebuilt at the moment - the blokey came and took it away yesterday and hasn't reappeared yet, so I'm stuck working on a shared laptop. This means that I don't have most of my software or settings on here, and also that I don't have any of my useful widgets to tell me when I get new mail or when something appears on LJ... So if I don't respond, that's why.

In other news, I'm still steadily upgrading my forum software with various extensions... as soon as I can confirm they work properly or that I can fix them if they don't. The latest addition the ability to subscribe to threads or categories and get emails when they're updated.

I've also started work on the new iteration of my website... I decided that I like the Web 2.0 style of web design enough that I'd have a crack at it. In the interests of keeping the design in line with the forum, I've aimed my designs pretty close to it (nothing you can see yet, by the way, so don't bother looking!) and am a bit worried that it might be a bit too close... so I might try changing things around a bit tonight before pub. I'm not entirely convinced by my header image so far, so might change it.
