So, I've been off in Herefordshire for a couple of days... one night of which was spent with
blufive,
calatrice and my nephew Alex around as well. Unfortunately, Alex's exacting standards were, in some capacity, not achieved. Naturally, he expressed his displeasure at this fact. I wasn't really having much luck with sleeping either, though, so I can't really blame him. It was just too hot and stuffy.
Anyway - this does mean that I have now in fact seen Alex, and can confirm that he is arranged in a traditional humaniform configuration and does appear to function in a manner appropriate for his age. I think that it's also fair to say that if "scrutineer" was to exist as a career, he would be a natural. I have been thoroughly observed.
In other news, a lorry attempted to kill me earlier when I drove across the town. There wasn't enough room on its side of the road, so it decided to use mine, despite the fact that I was using it at the time. So I ended up clipping the kerb slightly. Hubcap's mildly buckled, but everything else still seems fine. I was already planning to get new front tyres soon anyway (one of them's getting a bit thin on tread, and I prefer to get a matched pair), so I'm not overly worried.
Now I'm going to go and see if I can get a bit more of this sleeping malarkey done. Or at least sit and vegetate in front of the telly.
