Heroes

Recently, I have been watching the first few episodes of Heroes... a new american TV series which is yet to hit these shores. The general premise is that people start to manifest superpowers.

So far, what I've seen can only be appropriately described as "office chair mighty". If you do not understand this reference then you should consider yourself both blessed and cursed in terms of your cultural exposure...

Of course you realise that by discovering and liking this new genre show you have doomed it to a premature demise of being canned by cockweasel TV executives before the end of the first season.

Somewhat off topic, can I draw your attention to picocon. Besides their excellent taste in dates, they've been running what are apparently pretty good (albeit short and tiny) SF cons for years now - and a lot cheaper than an eastercon if you just want to dip a toe in...
