Bloggy things...

So... would folks out there be interested in writing for or participating in some kind of collaboratory blog website thing?
I've got an idea that revolves areound a small group of people writing articles on disparate topics that interest them. Or putting up artwork or photography. Or putting up short fiction, even. I'm not leaning towards an open "anyone can submit stuff" site, but a site where a few trusted people can submit items on topics that interest them. I might be open to other people outside of that group submitting articles, but they'd go via that core group for editorial purposes.
People would be able to register and leave comments, which would ideally be moderated. If I can work out how, then they'd be able to sign in with openID. Most likely, comments would be open for a week or two after an item was posted, and then they'd be closed. The originator of an item would be expected to follow those comments for a while, at least checking once in that week and responding to some questions if there are any.
Topics that I, personally, would probably write about: Web Design, SF, Design in general, Theatre related stuff, music & film, possibly even human behaviour.
If I were to create such a site, would you be interested in writing / creating for it?
