Currently listening to Marillion covering Radiohead... and it's quite odd.

It's that time again, where I list the tabletop game ideas that I am currently toying with (which may or may not ever come to fruition) and get people to yay or nay them as regards interest. Mentioning it here does not guarantee it will happen - I have more game ideas than I could possibly run without quitting my job and employing full time players, and several of them will end up not panning out as well as I'd like anyway.

So... the ideas:

Dark Ages: Fae - A short campaign for four or five players (six at a stretch). Things start off in summer 1230, and I'm currently looking at the welsh marches as the location although this is tenuous and might well change. This is my main "want to try" at the moment, as the game is cool. I have the start point of a plot now, so more may come of it soon.

Unnamed High Fantasy Game - I've not done any high fantasy for ages. Powerful magic and heroic characters who can take a fair amount of damage before falling over. System isn't yet finished, but the setting is well on the way. Plot comes from setting quite easily... This would not quite be dungeon bash territory, but quests and the like fit quite nicely - don't expect complex multilayer plots with more twists than a corkscrew and you won't be disappointed.

SF / Horror - No system in mind yet, but plot ideas are forming. I'd want to do this as a one day mini-marathon, starting by midday, finish when it's done. Lead time for this would be quite a while. I have plot, but I want to do it properly and so need to prepare visual and auditory aids. I am not above cheap shock tactics to get the mood across. Quick intro: A number of cryobooths open following the transit to Themis Station, and the occupants find themselves alone on their vessel, drifiting near the station.

I also plan to have a crack at some Blue Rose at some point just for something different. I'm starting to get a little tired of party conflict, angst and bleak outlooks and want to do something light hearted. I'm just waiting on the book being brought out - at the moment I only have the PDF, and I hate running games from PDFs.

I still plan to do my Engel 2 part mini-marathon at some point, and I've been keeping an eye on an Engel -> New Storyteller System conversion which looks rather good and gets me away from the ropey D20 system and the incomprehensible Arkana system (looks good on paper, but relies on nobody arguing or questioning each other... Ever!). Basic brief for pt 1: playing a group of Monachs and Templars travelling across europe collecting newly illuminated manuscripts to return them to the Himmel. For part two, everyone switches characters to play Engel. 5 players only. Six at a stretch, but one may get left out if the others take certain courses of action (ie: flying).

So... Interest / feedback?
