Strange Ideas...
3 October 2005 12:30I've been having random ideas again.
No idea if this is something that would ever come to fruition, but it's enough of an idea that I thought I'd mention it and see what people thought... Bizarrely for me, this is an idea that bears no relation to RPGs, although some of the things that have lead to them are vaguely RPG related.
For the Runnymede Cam/Anarch game I came up with various sound effects by mixing a selection of sounds together, most notably the wet meaty bang of an exploding vampire. For the Runnymede Mage game I worked with voice recording and manipulation and a reasonable amount of mixing and layering of audio to create the strangeness that was Radio Free Gaia. For a sci-fi horror tabletop game I ran I used digitized voices, manipulated them and generally creepified them...
Way, way back when I was at school, in my english lessons, we made radio plays.
Combined with having now heard one of the Sapphire and Steel audio dramas from Big Finish, this bunch of experience has made me think "we could do that". I'm not entirely sure why we would, or what we'd do with it when it was done, but the idea intrigues me.
What do other folks think?
