Our work messageboards are, on occasion, a source of much entertainment. Today is no exception, thanks to a link to a news story with one of the most fantastic headlines ever:

This morning, I'm pretty sure my tube from Richmond was stationary for longer than it was mobile, and as a result I got in to work about 20 minutes later than I expected. Irritating, but tolerable as timekeeping's pretty flexible in these parts.
Today we also have an odd situation at work. It's Jeans for Genes day, and so, for charity, everyone's allowed to wear jeans if they chip in a couple of quid. Except I work in a department where practically everyone wears Jeans all of the time (Except me - I don't actually own any jeans I can fit in at the moment). So everyone's turned up in a suit instead (well, almost everyone - a couple of people had valid reasons not to, such as not owning one). It's quite surreal with all of the developers and QA testers sat around in suits & ties - in fact, it's just plain wrong!
