After a hasty doctors appointment yesterday, here's a bit of an update.
The morning I left for Australia, I found a black, rigid lump right next to my right armpit. This was slightly disconcerting, as you might imagine. Since there was little I could do, I covered it up to keep the sun off it whilst I was away, thought "nothing I can do about it right now" and headed for my flight. Yesterday, straight after I got home from the airport I phoned the doctors surgery and made an appointment.
The doctor's comment was that it was probably nothing - just a totally mundane cyst that should show signs of sorting itself out in a couple of weeks. If it hasn't then I should go back and they'll think about doing something to it, but that right now it's totally nothing to worry about.
So I'm not worrying about it.
