Illness Update

So, here's a bit of an update on the current state of my plague:
I'm still coughing a fair amount. I still have pain in my ribcage and throat from coughing so hard - I think my chest muscles are largely recovered, but I think my neck will feel like it's been punched for a few more days yet. When the swelling finishes going down, it'll probably stop hurting too. The swelling in my neck is the main thing I'm waiting for before I consider myself better. When that's gone down, and I no longer feel like I've got a golfball lodged in my neck, I think I'll be good to go back to work.
I'm still hacking up a fair amount of phlegm, but nowhere near as much as I was about three or for days ago. Seriously. A few days ago I couldn't go more than about ten minutes without coughing about a tablespoon of muck out into the sink. I was like something out of Ghostbusters or The Exorcist. Now I'm only coughing up little bits, and it's not big, sticky green or yellow lumps anymore, either. Which is nice.
I'm still utterly wiped out, but recovering. I'm able to stay active for several hours on the go now, only having to go and lie down a couple of extra times a day. At the start of this thing I was sleeping for about twelve hours overnight (broken up by coughing fits), and then for about half of every hour during the rest of the day. A couple of days ago I was having to go back to bed every four hours or so. Today I went for a lie down late morning / early afternoon and another at around 6.30pm until 8ish. By the time everything else is back to normal, I reckon I'll have my energy back too.
I had hoped to go back to work tomorrow, but as I say above, I'm waiting for the swelling in my neck to go down first... which means I'll be waiting a bit longer. I'm guessing at Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.
EDIT: Forgot to mention... as of yesterday, I'm now consistently able to eat solid food again. Previously, since last Sunday lunchtime I'd only managed to eat solid food once on Tuesday, and once on Friday. Now I'm able to face food and eat what I like, which is probably helping to speed everything else up nicely.
