If you leave work via waterloo, check the trains! When I came out (lunctime / early afternoon) they were royally screwed by signal failures at Waterloo and Ascot. The Waterloo one had been "fixed" before I travelled, but after nearly two hours they were still not expecting any westbound trains through Staines. The Ascot one had only just broken at that time and nobody knew anything.
