Tick... Tick... Tick...

BOOM!

Gah! Where the buggering hell is that background image fucking going? These pages all have the same markup and the same CSS, so why is it that on some pages this little tiny background image is missing entirely, whereas on others it's dangling there like a diseased monkey nadger that's been caught on a treebranch? I use what pathetic tools are available to examine what you laughably refer to as the DOM and to scour the CSS. What they report back is blatantly a pile of made up shit, as it exhibits not even a jot of similarity with what's happening on the screen.

IE6, you are an insult to all that is good and decent. In fact, you're even an insult to festering piles of gazelle-rich hyena spoor. The rest of the browser world is trying to gnaw you off like a diseased limb, yet you still keep hanging on. You're more persistent and less pleasant than congenital syphillis.

Just quit it. Fall over and die soon.

If you can ever work out why adding a php-include thing on a page causes the css to fuck up in IE I will be eternally grateful >.<

Really hate it at times

all together now...

[to the tune of london bridge is falling down]

IE6 is a crock-of-shite, crock-of-shite, crock-of-shite,
IE6 is a crock-of-shite, my dear user.

Quite a lot of people, annoyingly. Mostly corporate types with extensive intranet applications that sprawl across massive departments and prevent their IT policy from catching up.

Even more irritatingly, a lot of our customers fit that description, so 23% of our web traffic is still IE6 based.

It's a bit of a nightmare, really.
