Glasses...

I've noticed that I have a headache. I don't think it's a new thing, more that it's been steadily growing for a while now and it's just got to the point where I don't absentmindedly filter it out anymore. I also noticed on wednesday that I was having trouble reading small print at a play readthrough. Now I've noticed that my right eye seems to be blurrier than usual when I take my glasses off... it's always been pretty ropey, but it's definately worse than it was.
I think I need to book a visit to an optician and get me some new specs.
I wonder how much work will pay for, since I work at a monitor (well, two monitors) all day?

2008-02-26 09:40 (UTC)They must pay for a test every couple of years, as you use VDUs (what a quaint term! :-)
If it turns out that ou need a special set of specs for seeing the VDU then they should pay for them.
I think it ends up being that if you're short sighted, you need specs to see at all, so you won't get the paid for. However if you're long sighted, and need specs for close work, then you'll need different specs for reading the monitor, and the company has to pay for those.
Does that make sense? I hope so!
