Idle curiousity...

...has lead me to start looking at classes again. This time, though, I'm looking at things like impro and storytelling. I know a few folks who do both in some capacity or another. Whilst I don't think either are things I'd continue with in the long term (although that may change when I try them), I think they are things which have a *lot* of crossover skills with stuff I do either professionally or recreationally. If I can find classes that are within practical reach and practical budget, I might have a crack at them.
I'm all about the crossover skills, you see, and am keen to grab inspiration and techniques from wherever I can. I'm also about the crossover language - for example, I know enough to know that an "offer" in impro-speak could be seen as roughly equivalent to an "affordance" in UX terms. Both of them simultaneously provide, explain and announce an opportunity to interact. That's the kind of connection that I like to be able to make, as matching up the language and working it all together often provides new ideas to improve your art - whichever art that may be.
