Today, I am mostly somnambulent. I've had a decent amount of sleep all weekend, but when we arrive at a night where I have to get up next morning I'm fidgety for the whole night. Damnit. As a result I'm having great difficulty keeping my eyes open and my head out of contact with my keyboard. What makes it worse is that I have a deadline tomorrow... I have a working site with most of the features ready for use, but I still need to create a "skin" for it. I have some ideas, but I find it difficult to do good design work whilst sleep deprived. Oh well... Sugar and food might help me wake up by about lunchtime. I should be able to come up with a reasonable draft by the end of the day... Which would be nice, considering that the site is one I'm building for somebody I actually knew (albeit somewhat vaguely) prior to either of us working here...
But, work things aside, it was a good weekend. Finished a co-op game of System Shock 2 (with
urizen) on saturday, and briefly mentioned mage plot things... Watched "Road to Perdition" as well, and was fairly impressed.
Sunday, I woke up, and after a while
urizen and I faffed around for a while with some Mage game gubbins. This was followed by a brief trip to the pub prior to the Mage game itself - pub was kind of busy, and strange occurances led to an X-Box o' doom plan being formulated for the evening.
The Mage game itself was quieter than I expected. We had a reasonable turnout for what we knew would be a slightly sparse game, and things we were expecting to produce quite strong reactions turned out to just be taken in the PC's stride. Maybe they've become a bit too blasé about shocking or weird revelations. Note to self: must blow PC's minds out of the water. We need to catch up with reporting, too. With one thing and another we've ended up a bit behind and need to catch up. Thankfully our game tends to involve things that don't really affect events outside the Chantry - or not so far anyway. It was also nice to see some visitors to the game, especially as they didn't bring with them any huge piles o' cheddar - or at least if they did they didn't go around waving it in peoples faces.
Post mage we shambled back to House o' Plot for multi X-Box Halo smiting of doom It changes the game quite a bit, having more than 4 people in a map.
